Data access and permissions
What NiftyOne reads, and how you stay in control.
Amazon shows you every permission before you approve. You can end the connection yourself, at any time.
How authorization works
Four steps, and Amazon runs the important one.
Invitation
You get a secure link from Albert Scott.
Preview
A short page lists the data areas below, then sends you to Amazon.
Consent
On Amazon's screen you review the permissions and approve or decline. Declining connects nothing.
Connection
Amazon returns you to us with an authorization. We store it encrypted and use it to read your data.
What we read
The data areas, and why we need them.
Amazon, not Albert Scott, controls the list on the consent screen. If a permission is not on that screen, we do not have it.
| Data area | Examples | What we use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | Order and order item details, quantities, order status | Sales reporting and ASIN drill-downs |
| Finances | Settlements, fees, refunds, deposits | Profit reconciliation and deposit forecasts |
| Inventory | Stock levels, inbound and fulfillment-center positions | Inventory, stockout and overstock views |
| Reports | Amazon-generated business and settlement reports | Reporting and data checks |
| Pricing | Listing prices, offers and competitive pricing information | Pricing monitoring and the pricing and listing recommendations our team makes for you |
| Brand Analytics | Search and brand performance reports, where your account has access | Your own search and brand reporting |
What this access is for
Reading your data, and nothing else.
- NiftyOne only reads your data. Through the authorization you grant on Amazon's consent screen, NiftyOne does not change your listings, prices, inventory or funds.
- We use it to power your portal and the management services you engaged us for.
- We never ask for your Seller Central username, password or access keys.
- We do not sell your data, do not market to Amazon shoppers with it, and do not combine or share it with other clients.
Some summaries, classifications and listing analyses use AI models from third-party providers named in our Privacy Policy. They work only on your account's data, for your account.
Revoking access
End the connection yourself, any time.
Sign in to Seller Central
Vendors use Vendor Central.
Open Apps and Services
Then choose Manage Your Apps.
Revoke NiftyOne
Find NiftyOne and revoke its authorization. You do not need to contact us.
Menu names can change. If you cannot find the option, email support@albertscott.com and we will help.
After access ends, whether you revoked it, our agreement ended, or Amazon told us to stop, we permanently delete your Amazon data within 30 days. See the Amazon data section of our Privacy Policy. Revoking access means we can no longer provide the portal for your account.
